Scope
This Privacy Policy is entered into by and between you and Hilco Vision. This policy (together with our Terms of Use) is presented to help you make an informed decision about using this website and Hilco Vision services, and to explain what information we collect, how we store that information, and how we may use it. By using hilcovision.com or any other page on which this policy appears (the “Hilco Vision Sites”) you are consenting to have your personally and non-personally identifiable data transferred to and/or processed in the United States in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Please do not use Hilco Vision Sites if you do not agree with this Policy.
A. The Information We Collect from You
1. Non-Personally Identifiable Information
When you enter the Hilco Vision Sites, we may collect certain non-personally identifiable information. This may include your browser information (including browser type, browser version, browser language, browser plug-in type and version, country and time zone from which users access your site, and host operating system and demographic information). We use this information to help diagnose problems with our servers and for other administrative purposes.
In addition, aggregate traffic information may also be collected by the Hilco Vision Sites from this non-personally identifiable information. We may use this data for improving the services offered at www.hilcovision.com, www.hilcovision.co.uk, and www.hilcovision.com.au.
2. Personally Identifiable Information
Some services offered on the Hilco Vision Sites are only made available if we have certain information about you. To register as a member and access these services, you will, from time to time, be asked to submit personal information about yourself. We collect and process the following personally identifiable information related to our services: name, IP address, email address, address, phone number, financial accounts, and government identification number.
3. Use of Cookies
We use cookies on the Hilco Vision Sites. By using the Hilco Vision Sites, you accept the use of cookies in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the use of these cookies, please disable them following the instructions in this Privacy Policy.
What is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files that websites place in your browser when you visit them. When you return to the site, the site can access its previously placed cookie to uniquely identify your browser. Cookies accomplish several different things. They recall your preferences at a website, help content render more efficiently, and improve the overall user experience. They can also help advertisers see what interests you and what advertising may be relevant to you. For further information on cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
What types of cookies do we use?
We primarily use two types of cookies on this website:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies – These cookies are essential to enable you to move around the website and use its features and services, such as accessing secure areas. These cookies do not gather information about you that could be used for marketing or remembering where you have been on the internet.
- Analytics Cookies – These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website — for instance, which pages are visited most often and whether users encounter error messages. These cookies do not collect information that identifies you individually. All information collected is anonymous and used only to improve website services.
The Hilco Vision site uses Google Analytics cookies. Information collected will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States in accordance with its privacy practices. To learn more, visit Google’s privacy overview. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Managing Cookies
You can enable, disable, or delete cookies within your browser. Follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually located within the “Help”, “Tools”, or “Edit” menu). Disabling a cookie or category of cookie does not delete the cookie from your browser; you will need to do this yourself by choosing the option to delete cookies. If you have disabled one or more analytics cookies, we may still use information collected prior to your preference being set; however, we will stop using the disabled cookie to collect any further information.
4. Other Methods of Collecting Data
In addition to cookies, the Hilco Vision Sites employ pixel tags and/or web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable data. Pixel tags and web beacons are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a web page or other document. They allow the operator of the page, or a third party who serves the pixel tag, to set, read, and modify cookies, and may be used to obtain information about the computer being used to view that page. The entity that sends the tag can view the IP address of the computer, the time it was sent, the user’s operating system and browser type, and similar information.
The Hilco Vision Sites also employ web storage to collect and store non-personally identifiable data in your browser. Web storage functions similarly to cookies but allows for greater storage capacity. We utilize both persistent and session web storage, as well as application caches, to collect and store non-personally identifiable data.
5. Privacy of Children and Sensitive Consumer Information
Hilco Vision does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. The Hilco Vision Sites do not knowingly obtain or store any Sensitive Consumer Information, such as Social Security Numbers and other government-issued identifiers; insurance plan numbers; financial account numbers; information that describes the precise real-time geographic location of an individual; or precise information related to health or medical conditions.
If we are made aware that we have received information from anyone under the age of 13 or Sensitive Consumer Information in violation of this Privacy Policy, we will use reasonable efforts to locate and remove that information from our records.

C. Disclosure of Your Personal Information
1. Third Parties
We do not rent, share, sell, or trade personally identifiable information with third parties for their promotional purposes.
2. Compliance with Law
Hilco Vision reserves the right to disclose your personal information, without prior notice to you, as required by law or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or any legal request (e.g., court order or subpoena) served on our website. Furthermore, we may share your personal information when we believe it is necessary to address fraud or other illegal or prohibited activity perpetrated through Hilco Vision Sites or to prevent imminent bodily harm. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.
3. Service Providers
We may employ service providers and other companies and individuals to perform functions and provide services on our behalf (such as payment processing, email service, and account management). These entities may have access to your personal information to the extent needed to perform their functions and to provide you with the services you have requested.

In some cases we may retain copies of your information if required by law.
E. Security
We have implemented reasonable measures to protect the information we collect and store, taking into consideration the types of risks we face and the reasonable protections available to us. No method of protecting information is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
F. Information for Users Outside the United States
If you are visiting Hilco Vision Sites from outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect will be transferred to and stored on our servers in the United States. By using Hilco Vision Sites, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer and processing of your personally and non-personally identifiable information in the United States as described in this Privacy Policy. Please be aware that the data protection laws and regulations applicable to your information transferred to the United States may be different from the laws in your country of residence.
G. Your California Privacy Rights
California law permits customers in California to request certain details about how their information is shared with third parties and, in some cases, affiliates, when the information is shared for those third parties’ and affiliates’ own direct marketing purposes. Under the law, a business must either provide this information or permit California customers to opt in to, or opt out of, this type of sharing.
We may from time to time elect to share certain information about you collected on Hilco Vision Sites with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. If you are a California resident, you may opt out of such future sharing and/or request information about our compliance with this law by contacting us at:
Hilco Vision
575 West Street
Mansfield, MA 02048
Any such request must include “California Privacy Rights Request” in the first line of the description and include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year, and we are not required to respond to requests made by means other than through this mailing address.
H. Privacy Practices of Third Parties
When you click on links to websites outside of Hilco Vision Sites, third parties may place their own cookies or other technological devices on your browser, independent of hilcovision.com. We have no control over these third parties and no responsibility for the technologies they employ. To learn how a particular website collects and uses your information, you should read the privacy policy of that website.
I. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently and at least each time you submit personal information to any Hilco Vision Sites. The date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your interactions with the Hilco Vision Sites.
